I rencetly installed my sprint springs and my stock 117k mile shocks are blown( never thought they would) well i was thinking since i don't to see the need to adjust my front suspension to get non adjustable shocks for the front and agx's for the rear. MY car squats big time when i launch or simply take off in a normal manner. I plan i going autocrossing would this be a good idea? Another thing i own a 90 gst (nonindependent rear suspension) has anyone had any positive experiences in road course with this "dorifto spec" suspension? Thanks for your advice.

I saw this post a couple days ago and forgot to reply. Im going to be running a very similar setup as what your thinking, with the exception of Eibach Pro Kit Springs. Ive been autoxing for years, and ive been doing track events for the past 2 or so. I'll Be running with NASA in florida in the next year doing nothing but track events. Just from testing my gsx on some "test roads" the cars still have a lot of understeer. Ive found from learning on fwd cars nothing but understeer is just a pain in the ass and very limiting. Stiffening the back end is going to help even out the understeer which should allow for much better handling on a road course where your running higher speeds, but will probably have a little less effect on an auto-x course where speeds are usually low, but anytime you can help to counter understeer the car will be faster.

I thought about this since i dont' think that i would be needing to stiffening up the front much just getting stiffer shocks will be enough now the back will benefit from harder or softer settings for either course or drag. I think im going to do that, i haven't been in any x-cross events but i have experienced understeer in regular street driving. Thanks for your reply.

Given that DSMs, like most cars, have more understeer at lower speeds, you actually have to stiffen the rear even more for autoXing. I run 500/450 springs with 24mm bars to get my pig to turn at 30-45 mph. At highway speeds and above, these rates are suicidal. I have to look ahead just as much on the ride home as I do on course. If I come up behind someone on a exit ramp, for example, I'm in real trouble, because to lift is to spin.

I'm running Prokits with GR2's in the front (couldn't dish out $128/piece for AGX) and AGX in the rear set on 1. I used to ride around with the AGX's on 6 and couldn't take it anymore. For launching I had no problems. Just crawl under the car on track days and change the settings. I've got to get me a sway bar because this understeer really sucks. Making a sharp turn to get on the highway entrance ramp at 35mph results in MAJOR understeer and a lot of tire squealing. In the rain is even worse. BTW, while you're in here Jtoby, what are the spring rates for 1G Prokits?
