would there be that much of a difference cause it costs about twice as much for the agx's and ill im goin for is 1/4 mile times not racein around like a damn indy car. but would the agx's be better in the 1/4 mile than the GR-2's? im also going with eibach sportlines if that matters.

I'd go with the AGX's. With GR-2's you obviously don't have control over your compliance. With AGX's all you've gotta do is stiffen those struts up as much as possible on track day and then soften them up when you need to hit the road.

AGX are rightly accused of a lot of things but good ride isn't usually one of them...

You've got that right. Mine beat me to death on a daily driver. I paid the big bucks hoping to have lots of control over ride. It hasn't worked out that way.

I had Eibach Prokit's and AGX's on my 91 Talon TSi FWD and they helped me a ton with traction. I went from having massive wheel hop to having almost none at all. Even on there softest setting the ride was kinda rough but it was bearable. I live in new england and the winter really beats up our roads so that has a lot to do with the rought ride too.

so they ride like shit.......... oh well i can live with that my last car was slammed to the ground and it was the hardest ride ive ever felt until the stock struts went out.

I dont think they ride hard at all. They are stiff but definately steetable. And I have mine set on 3. But I would definately get the agx's. The gr-2's are pretty much stock replacement. Also, when at the track, you dont want to make them stiff as you will lose some traction. You want the rear to 'dip' a little to grip the pavement.

I have a 1.8 and will never be racing or anything i just want an ok ride and i dont want my struts blowing out...i was thinking of going with KYB GR-2's and Eibach Sportlines (1.5" drop, not too low).....opinions?

The OP didn't ask about Konis, but try the AGX's against them in this general cost range. The Konis are firm and controlled; the AGX's shudder all over the road when it gets rough. No comparison.

Plus, at least for the 2G rears, the AGX's blow out. Hopefully the 1G's don't have that problem...
