well things are slowing down while i wait for answers as to weather on not i can/want to get a hold of parts from japan. so any way i have the engine about 90% complete. and everything is in the interior is all in except for the driver seat and the ecu. about all the interior needs is a little more cleanup and it should be done this week. as far as the engine goes all that is left is the TB, cams, timing belt, valve cover, and exhaust/turbo. i am currently debating whether or not to change the Greedy FMIC for a Liquid/air SMIC, i found a setup i like for about $350, but i also need to work around the fact that i need some inter cooler piping. so i might just use the FMIC untill i figure out what i am doing. any way here are some pics.

not a fan of the blue engine pieces. But it looks really clean! I love the blue on the car. Looks like she'll be a pretty pretty beast when all done!

no it isn't the factory blue, and i to am disappointed in the color the engine parts came out but that happens when you have to switch brands and types of paint in the middle of a project.....

What did you use on the headlights they look great from what they started as!?? Also good luck with your motor doing a 1G project myself so kinda in the same boat! Still have a boosted car though myself so that boat is all yours 4G63 EVO gotta love factory turbo cars! Have fun with your project!

believe it or not all i had to do to get rid of the yellowing was take the turtle wax polishing compound to it. but the top layer is still on them so i need to take some sandpaper and smooth them out.
