I went to college today and when i was leaving i found out that someone broke my pasengers window and stole my Apexi SAFC and AVCR that were hidden under the pasanger seat and my girlfrineds 30g iPod. He didnt took the radio and my car has 35% tin all around. The guy who did it knew me and knew were was hiddien. He cut both harness. The college insurance is going to pay and down here these parts are very expensive so the estimate is $375 for SAFC, $500 for avcr, $350 for ipod and $165 for the window. its $1390 and i know im not getting all of it but i if get at least $1K im thinking on a MBC and dsmlink. I found a guy who is selling me a 95 eprom for $200 and i need $600 more for dsmlink, thats $800 and for $1000 i can get a Microtech full stand alone. what do you guys think?

I know that stand alone is like a orverkill for me right now cus i was planing on 50trim for next month install. I already have a MAFT setup. I dont see me soon in the furure close to 500+hp. right know im looking for 350whp but when i finish college i want the fastest GST on the island, The i will need a stand alone. should i buy it later or should i buy a engine control unit just once

I want somehting reliable, Tuning time is not a problem here, one of my web site sponsors owns a dyno and he is a friend of mine and i have unlimited hours of tunning whenever i want.

OK i will choose DSMLINK, i heard theres a new version comming out V3, what will the differance will be betwen the current one. Should i wait or if i buy V2 know can i upgrade to V3 later, what the extra cost will you think it will be.

MBC and DSMLink...a lot easier to tune with that your previous setup. Also just compensate for your injectors and all the stock closed loop setting are already in, you just need to do WOT tuning.

Most stand alones will have to be worked/tweaked on for the closed loop portion.

Correction, ANY true standalone will have to be tuned for closed loop. DSMLink is the single best tuning tool for these cars, you'll never regret getting it.
