hey the car looks nice, I'm liking that drop. looks like u should be able to sneak into the 15s with the setup now, just gotta work on that 60 foot. But as long as you enjoy driving the car more, thats what matters.

Just for comparison, my old 86 fiero gt v6 with a cold air intake trapped around 85 mph same as you, but i was pulling consistent 2.0-2.1 60' and 15.8-15.9s.

yeah i was hoping i can get into the 15s .... well that was the first time racing that car to and i havent gottin a good start yet .... first time actually racing a stick to LOL .... imma go back in like to weeks and put on my new slip .... i think i should do at least a 15.8 if better we will see :thumb:

not a bad time at all for the first time out! I remember the first time I went racing witha stick. It was a 96 cavalier base model (with the ### grey bumpers LOL) with a cone filter and catback. Best of the night was a 17.3 haha. I practiced for a month, and added some motor mounts, came back and ran 16.2-16.3 alll night. Its all about the practice.

yeah i think imma go out and practice ... i got this long ass road that goes for like 2 miles .... imma get it there ... ill get my friend to mark the 1/4 with his truck and practice there or something .... yeah there was a dyno at the track the last time but i know i dont have enough power to dyno it for 75 bucks LOL ... ill wait till i know im in the 200s ... im doing all ignition now .... the 4 prog spark plugs, upgrade wires to 8mm or 8.5mm, the coil and, msd, and all that good stuff and then imma go upgrade the computer i want to hit atleast 14s and then imma do body work

yeah im not trying to put to much into it because shes got 180k miles on it LOL ... i dont think its worth putting a turbo on it LOL ... well the motor only has 80 on it but yeah i dont know LOL

if u really wanna get ## times down, invest in some sticky tires. Maybe some lightweight 15s or 16s with drag radials, or something sticky. if u can get ## 60 foot into the 2.2s or even 2.1s ull be in the 15s right there.

sounds good. ya ive heard good things about the yoko's. I have some bfg g-force sports on my gsx and I thought they were the sh!t until I finally got my new clutch installed. I'm have trouble hooking up in first now LOL

yeah i have problems getting into third it will not go in as hard as a push LOL ... i have to pump the clutch again and then go in LOL .... it hasnt done it in a while but i might get a stage 2 and replace the cylinders .... i dont know .... well look back for more mods everyonce in a while .... i got to work in the moring .... later man

You shoul pick up the symbroski shift kit, and a B&M short shifter. It'l feel as smooth as butter when your slamming gears down the track.

P.S. Don't bother bench racing around here, we deal with real facts, and well dyno sheets say it all, so go get one and let us know what kind of power you are really putting down, thats the only way to really know what is going on with YOUR car because every motor is different.

I have the same setup as some other people around here but our hp numbers are way different along with the torque numbers as well.

Seriously, not trying to be a jerk, but I was curious as to how you came up with 160- 170 HP for just a catback, header, and short ram?

He probably reads Import tuner. Lots of people who have not been modding cars for years and buy there 1st car see things like those articles in the back of import tuner where they dyno the car, then add a cai, catback, header, and hf cat or something then dyno the car and it shows a 26.4 hp gain. easy mistake for someone with limited experience to make. He could very well have gained about 10-12 crank horsepower. not 20-30 but 12 is very possible.
