Got Eprom. Is dsmlink worth it with my mods?

Ok, to update my mods I have a Pte 50 trim, Denso 660s, sx afpr, 2g mas for now. After having my car for 6 months I pulled my ecu and I have an eprom. What a great find . I want to get my tunning so I can control timing better. Dsmlink is goin for 565 now so its alot more than 115 for a chip for the ecu. My question is dsmlink worth it over a chip for my setup? I will pay the extra if it will really help out. Thanks

I have an Eprom on my 93 its by DSM chips and it rocks! ill probably have it for a while. Its easy to deal with and simple. However your are at the cross roads for a standalone!
you could probably squeez another 30 to 50 hp with your setup. and i think you would be close to that with a DSM link as well. you can elimiate the MAS as you probably know. and data log and all that other shit. Its all about the $$$$

YES!!! and if you don't want to just sell me your eprom ecu for 150 bucks No from what I've read/heard dsmlink is an easy to use tuning tool that does everything a full datalogger and AFC would do plus more. Its actually a great deal for the price considering how expensive other datalogging/tuning tools are.

I think DSMlink is worth it at any stage in modding these cars. Especially if you already have an Eprom! If you are willing to spend the money, DO IT. There is absolutely no replacement for it (besides a full standalone). While the chips are a VERY nice option for the lower-budgets, it can't really compare to DSMlink. If you have the funds and are even considering DSMlink, then by all means go for it. I guarantee it will be the best mod you will make to that car

Yea well I have $500 now so if it is worth it to get dsmlink Im gonna but I will need a laptop. It would be nice to be able to tune that well. Id rather have control over my car instead of a chip. With the $500 I have should I put it to dsmlink or get a chip and other parts? What would be better thanks

I have never heard of mega squirt but I dont think I need full standalone now. Im gonna stay with dsmlink or the chip.

Any modded car can use a standalone.

You know how much extra power can be had by a good timing map and A/F mitxture?

Why spend more money for something that doesn't do as much as the MS and still requires a laptop? Guess I don't like throwing money away though. This is also why my car beats other cars with more mods than me though.

Just throwing another idea out there for you to check into.
