Meh it's just something I did when I was bored like i said . LOL . I intend to make a custom fiberglass encloser when I get money for subs LOL

I figured it wouldn't look so hot , but sincei was broke and wanted some extra bang in my car i just threw it together . My custom box I plan on making will be high enough that icouldn't use the trunk lid

As soon as I saw the title I thought "Oh dear lord don't let him have really messed something up!" It looks like it was as bad as I expected...

For future reference: the jigsaw is not a good idea when you are bored!

Well the idea was good, how it was put into action however would need to be redone.
I actually thought about something like this for my ford probe.

Heres what you should do, take out thiose two white speakers, ### cosmetically thats your main problem.

Instead give each rectangular indent 2 of the biggest speakers that will actually fit inside the indented area.
Then fabricate a rectangular speaker grill that flows well with that area on the hatch tray to cover those 4 speakers.

As for the other speaker well that should get a speaker grill as well.

Note that the speaker grill should be the same color or pretty close to the one on the hatch tray cover

this is not even close to the definition of a ricer what he did. i think its kind of cool for something that you did to kill time. dont see it everyday :)

Really? It sounds pretty dead on ricer to me. I don't have enough money to do something worthwhile, but I will install these speakers in a place that everyone can see them just so I have done something to my car. I don't really care that I allready have plenty of speakers, I don't really care what the mod is, I just want to put some bling bling on the car. Turns out it looks like shit and has no real purpose. But I left it on anyways. RICER

a ricer is someone who prefers to add something to their car that is in the visual sense will make their car look faster rather then performance wise.

Ya that's true, like dead on true.

you are correct.

a bottle of sailors jerry (navy spiced) rum is a way better thing to do with your time. :)

yep. since everyone else has flamed you (because you were bored (or an idiot) i won't flame) :)

remember.... always with love.:)

a ricer is someone who prefers to add something to their car that is in the visual sense will make their car look faster rather then performance wise.

Ricer- (noun) A person who either installs distasteful, or poorly installed modifications to his/her car with the intention of making it more desirable, attractive, cool, or fast. Usually fails so terribly at doing so the car is none of the above.

Its not all about bodykits and huge wings. Poorly installed or stupid mods period are rice. IAT Resistors, "25$ ebay performance chips". vortex generators, thottle body spacers, etc etc all ricer mods.

I can't figure out how to install a turbo properly so I just connected the lines any which way they will go, ricer.

Huge shitty wing and fart can ricer.

Extra speakers as a substitute for subs in a nice box with a good amp, ricer.

Well actually I had no real intention of actually make them visable to others . I was trying to figure out a way to put them somwhere else interior wise more so inside of the interior panels ,yet nothing was deep enough .And even though I do have the front speakers and rear speakers I just wanted to tinker around with no re intent on keeping it there long anyway . The fact of the matter is I already have a spare truck lid I can get my hands on if I want to ,secondly it's going to be garaged soon anyway . When I want to get away from the family life and my girlfriend I need to keep myself ocupied somehow and seeing as I had no new parts to install or nothing to fix ( ironicly) I figured why not . I am still amused by the rather large amount of flaming that goes on here from time to time regardless to what is going on . I have always been " to each their own " attitude with some criticism ,but nothing too harsh . I agree I would have liked to have some square/rectangle speakers to sit flush with the folds but alas I do not have those . I'm used to the flaming anyway LOL after all after my first bumper was broke I got a bomex for free and put it on and I have the big "ricer" wing . But it's ok LOL stillhave my greddy fmic , bore .20 greddy turbo back exhaust greddy TT tuned to 15 psi on a t25( going to be a 14B) don't really want to get much bigger in the turbo department since I don't really race at the track much anymore .type S bov. I just love how the ar feels , handles , sounds , looks ( minus the bumper since it got cracked .... BLEH ) but all in all I've seen far worse than what I've done to my car and still I imagine those that have done such still enjoy their car

aye man props for the attempt LOL heads up tho..might rattle around over bumps. and where do you have them powered from just out of curiousity

Ran wire from radio pigtail from the rear speakers back under side panels up into the trunk so rear speakers I guess would answer your question

the job you did itself is pretty good, just doesnt seem to fit the whole, dsm thing, idk just my .02
