got back from the dyno. need some serious help with number???

ok came back form the dyno and the car is running worse then when it got there. i had 257HP and 227TQ at 15psi before this dyno and that was on a hub dyno the dynpack. well went to pruven performance got my injectors and fuel pressure reg put in with my greddy profec2 then i ran on the dyno and they have a roller for your knowledge and i got 240HP and 262Tq AT 20PSI a lot of boost for not good numbers IMO this is my mods
apexi downpipe injen intake mangnacore wires greddy evo exhaust greddy type S BOV ported 16G turbo and wstegate DSS upper IC pipe dejon tool lower ic pipe victory o2 houseing ported evo3 Manifold AFC2 Greddy 24 FMIC 255 rewired fuel pump 550 injectors greddy profec2 boost controller Aeromotive FPR SS fuel lines.

what do you think??? also my airfuel was pretty much 11 across the board thanks a lot also my egt was getting to a little over 800C is that normal??
 
Diffeent yno's will give different readings forthe same car. TURBO mag proved this about 6 months ago. Make sure all is correct, hoses, etc and go back to the original dyno and in the future i would stick with the same dyno for yourtest and tune. Mark
 
i have a clutch and also the old dyno numbers were without the FMIC too. and i know i lost power because a freind of mine has an H22 civic and with 15psi at 260 i was walkin him at least 3 cars now i ran last night 2 gear roll at 19 psi and took me till almost 110 to start pulling when i used to pull right from the start so i guess that i have to get retuned at the other place but now i'm pissed. also what about egt numbers tell me what you guys run.
 
Isn't 11:1 a/f a little rich? Seems lke you could lean it out a bit., and I would definitely check it for boost leaks.
 
well where should i start looking for leaks can you give me amy idea how to start looking?? my vac seems fine. please help me out my bov is not letting all the air out unles i'm at like 7 or more psi it flutters i would think that that is ok means that it's not leaking right?? thanks 4 the help
 
build a leak tester. i think vfaq shows you how to make one. i made mine for about $10.
 
Spray bottle w/ soap water on IC pipes, etc works too
But go with the leak tester on vfaq :thumb:
 
Another way to check for vacuum leaks is to just spray some carb cleaner in certain places (hose joints, etc)... if it actually gets sucked into your engine, your revs will rise a little for a split second.
 
I have to agree with these guys when it comes to doing a boost leak test. I did all of my IC pipe fabrication last winter and never did a leak test. Finally this past weekend I decided to do one after reading a thread about it. I never thought I would have any substantial leaks. Boy was I wrong. I used my compressor as the air source and when I would pressurize the system the pressure would leak out in like 2 seconds. I had a massive leak by the outlet flange on the compressor of my Evo 3. I took the piece out, did a little welding/tweaking and replaced the gasket and now the car runs like a champ.

Do yourself a favor do a leak test, you will be surprised at the results.
 
What are the settings on your SAFC2? Where did you make the power at? Was the power falling off in the higher RPMs? 11.1 A/F is a little richer then you want to run to make power. I would lean in out to about 11.5-11.8 A/F ratio. Also, do you have an AFPR? If so, what was your fuel pressure at? You also may want to check your BOV if your running the Greddy type S because they do tend to leak from the diaphram.

Also, what gear(s) did they do the pulls from? What was the timing like? How much timing were you getting?

The reason I ask all this is because I street tune my friend's 97 GST before we went to the dyno 2 months ago and he made 264 WHP & 276 FTLBS. on 18psi. His mods are:

small 16G
550cc injectors
SAFC
fuel pump
blitz BOV
3" downpipe/2.5" catback
stock o2 housing
stock SMIC
CFDF clutch kit.

Those are his only mods. So follow all the minor things and check for boost leaks in your ICP & BOV. Fix them if any occur and take it back to the dyno. With your setup, you should be in the 310-320 HP range. Let us know if you find anything.
 
well not too sure about boost leaks yet but that may be the cause but i tend to think that my clutch was slipping a little bit but not real sure that is what i am thinking happoned. becuase it did seem to feel faster at 15psi then at 19psi that would explain the clutch slipping but i cant work on the car for like 30 days i'm away for work and wont be back till xmass soo iwil let everyone know what i find

Ya Josh, pretty sure its the clutch. Isn't strong enough to hold the power/torque. Especially after that 2nd geat burn at Carlos'. See ya when you get back.
 
Boost leaks could well be the answer. I thought everything on my car was fine untill I made a leak tester. It was leaking like a sieve. Since then, I have been amazed to find how many friends cars leak serious boost when checked with my tester. FYI, I too was runing high egt's with my boost leaks.
