So my 2G is gone, and yesterday I picked up a 90 GSX 5 speed.
Drove it back home amm..300miles+, with no grind or problems.
This morning i slap a plate on the thing and head down to get it registered.
When I pulled in the parking lot..I got this weired noise comming from undernteath the car.
I come out..put it in R and i get that noise again...1st i was thinking my loose exhaust is hitting my driveshaft?nope..not really.
At the light, i put it in 1st, then shift in 2nd and at 30mph? the rear wheels lock up on me, and the car chocked/stalled in the middle of the road in rush hour!
Now the car has a rebuilt tranny(2 weeks ago with warranty), the clutch is brand new also.
So I start the car again...fired right up..it will go in all gears but it will choke/stall when i try to get going forward/reverse.
I checked the brakes...good..put the car in N and still can't move it in any directions.
The brakes are not the problem..the car tends to move half maybe 1 inch( well i can kidna spin the wheels a little, sort of a play).
Called the tow truck, and while he was loading her up on the flatbed, i noticed that the front wheels are spining, but not the back ones..
What would be the problem?? I can think of a seized Transfer Case or a Damaged Rear end?? It seems to me that the rear axels move a little and also the drive shaft, it's more like a play in them(half/1 inch when i move the rear wheel)..
Anyway I have it in a shop , and they said they'll call me tomorrow and let me know.
I found out some stuff abt a recall on the TC...is it still valid after the car got the TC damaged if this will be the case??
Any other suggestions?? Did I damaged the tranny or anything by trying to launch the car at 4500rpm??
What are the chances of a Rear End problem and chances of a TC problem!!
When I bought the car the TC seemed fine..and it had no moisture/oil deposits on it or around, and the car drove awesome for 300miles.
thx in advance
