good deal on a 60-1.. is it junk or not?should i take it?

Ok so I'm building my 92 tsi awd...i have everything but my turbo set up and dsmlink so i have been researching turbos for weeks now and my goal is to break 11's, i have all supporting mods to run a big set up, anyway this guy has a turbonetics 60-1 with 1000km on it (canada) and i can get for cheap with a t3 mani here are its specs

60-1 compressor wheel
.50 a/r compressor housing, POLISHED
3in inlet, 2in outlet
stage 5 turbine wheel
.63 a/r T3 turbine housing
5 bolt discharge.
journal bearing, water and oil cooled.

I want to know if this is a good turbo for my goals (11's) or if its junk I know its going to have lag with the stage5 wheel, i dont need to hear about your 50 trims or anything like that, just need to know about this turbo and its specs and if it will do me good

Turbonetics turbos seem to have taken a turn for the worse in terms of quality/reliability. Just look at the RS49T/RS60T ordeal a few years ago. I'm not sure if their T3 setups use their own CHRAs and if they've fixed whatever issue it was, or if they use Garrett CHRAs. I'd be careful, although the wheel itself is enough for your goals.
 
i bought a RS49T a while ago.. maybe like 2-3 years ago and still run it today.. GREAT turbo in my opinion! however i did remove the internal wastegate and went to and 02 wastegate set up. (the internal set up would not work for me due to the ability to control the arm on the wastgate and couldnt hold higher boost, so i did away with it) overall it has lasted me since i had purchased it :thumb:
 
60-1's are a proven turbo, no doubt. I knew a guy a while ago (before all these hybrid turbos came along) that used a bolt-on Garrett 60-1 to run an 11.2 with his 1G TSi AWD daily driver with boost right around 20psi. The car had an all stock motor, even stock cams! No DSMLink either....if I remember correctly he was running the old HKS VPC system.
 
its setup for external off the o2 i believe i'll have to double check but thats what the pictures look like...judging by the specs above do you guys think i can hit full boost in the 4k rpm range...how efficient is the stage 5 wheel with the .63 a/r housing?
