Goin to the DSM goldmine tomorrow!

What are some good 2g upgrades that can be grabbed off of 1g? im goin to a buddys junkyard tomrrow and he has like 5 1gs sittin there. So far my list consists of the 14b turbo, throttle body since i have a cyclone intake ready to put on and thats it soo far. I have a 95 so im pretty sure i have e-prom but im on the look. do all 1gs come with the 14 b turbo?

To install the turbo you will need a installation kit.. This consists of the coolant and oil lines you are going to need to install the turbo. You can install it without the installation kit but will it be reliable?

when ya get the tubo grab the supply/return lines.

Grab some 1g BOV, if you can. I'm currently looking for one. I don't want to be a slug, but I'm really looking for some parts like the cam gear cover, head shield, and a BOV. I'm trying to think of anymore parts, but as far as I know, 2g BOV are complete crap. Unless you already have an AM BOV, then disreguard.

yeah i have a blitz dual drive bov waitin for my translator to come in. ill grab some parts and hit yall up to see if you want them. they wont be free to me but hes cuttin me a huge deal.

Pull the ecus, if you find an eprom I would gladly buy it from you!!! And one more thing if you can grab the Bolts that are on the battery hold down thing so I could use them for Timing belt changes? if you need for info ask. All the junk yards down here dont got any dsms ## lucky!! Pm me if you can Thanks

Only the 5-speed cars have a 14B, the automatics have the smaller 13 C?

, you guys talk our cars down for looks, then when it comes to performance your, "going to the DSM goldmine." were dsm's too, and although your exhaust manifold and o2 housing are better than ours, i disagree with the whole 2g's look better than 1g's. in my opinion, a sleek wedge design is what a performance car should have, not a fat cubby round thing....

1993 cams are supposed to be the best of any year dsm btw

The 1G head flows better than the 2G head. If you're going with a cyclone (99.999% worthless {plus or minus 0.001%}, other than as an extra part to point out to dates) with runners to match a 1G, the smaller ports on the 2G head will actually create worse flow (more turbulence) with the 1G-size runners, unless you port them to match. Add in higher lift cams and larger passages overall, and you'd be better served just finding a good 1G head and swapping it on.

1G BOVs and CAS will sell fairly well, grab a 1G BOV for yourself if you're still on the stock 2G.

And if you do pull the ECUs to resell, remember to LABEL THEM. A 1990 ECU is different from a 91-94.

When noted, put-downs between generations is discouraged. At least 1Gs aren't built like crap. However, many of us own (or, most-use) the one we tend to like best. And, once made an opinion, it's very true.

And as far as parts to grab ecu's, power window motor's and anything that normally shits the bed alot if you dont use them you can most certianly sell them to people in need
