GM Map Sensor #s ???

Ok so I was reading this thread: http://dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=119890&highlight=map+sensor

I went to the junk yard and since I didn't remember the #s on the map sensor, I decided to get all the ones I could find.

I didn't find any of the above numbers mentioned for the 1bar, 2bar, or 3bar.

Instead I found # 920-5161, 834-3081, and 835-5249

Will any of these work?

A GM 3bar is Part Number 12223861. Unless you pulled the MAP off of a Turbo Trans-am then it will only be a 1bar...

Edit** I searched and it seems there a little more expensive than the GM 3.3Bar.

I think they went up too. I dont think that I paid over $50 for mine when I ran up and got it. That was the cheapest place I could find one, I searched for weeks and even scrounged through all of the junk yards for hours and hours. By the way when I opened the box in the car it was a GM oem sensor with a GM label right on it, they just repackaged it.

I think thats only a good number at GM parts direct because they dont want you to take the actual part number and cross reference it and shop it around to get it cheaper. I worked behind a GM parts counter long enough.

Still $53.35 plus $11.74 for shipping equals $65.09. Sumitt has free shipping so that price at sumitt is shipped and out the door.

Sorry for pulling this from the dead, but its still relevant. I'm looking for part numbers so I can order everything I need from the local auto parts store. I'm looking for GM MAP and IAT sensors.

CanadianTSi, I'm a little confused. First you said the GM part number is 12223861. Then you said
GM: 9373269
ACDelco: 213-951

If you go to GMpartsdirect.com, and run both numbers, you get two different parts. 12223861 is from the 89 Turbo T/A at $65.76. 9373269 simply says TURBO PRESSURE SENSOR and is only $58.81. Whats the difference?

Second question, what is the GM part number for the IAT sensor?

Of interest: MAP sensor is MSD part # 2313 and the IAT sensor is part # 2320.

Well I guess I'm gonna beat the dead pig, but thought it was better than starting a new thread.

I have looked up the part numbers on GM direct for both the 3 bar and 3.3 bar That is from a 89 turbo TA and something else I guess.

My question is. I have looked up the MAP for a '89 TA at Oreilly's and they stock it but it is like $100. So I looked it up for a 92 Turbo Typhoon (the turbo 4.3L blazers) and the MAP looks identical, so install would be the same, but it is only $65. Any Idea if the MAP from the Typhoon would work. It was a turbo vehicle.

For anyone wondering, I looked up on rockauto.com the GMC typhoon 4.3l turbo and that map sensor looks to be only 2bar. This is alternate gm part number: 16009886.

Looked up '16009886 map' on google and comes up with a 2 bar map sensor.

here's the numbers i've used for years and ones you canuse to tell what any GM map sensor is

1bar 039 4070

2 bar 886 3189

3bar 749 3169

i always can tell an NA from a boosted and esecially 3 bar from 1 bar by knowing 749 is a 3 bar and 039 is one bar, those numbers are commonlyon there no matter what othr part number is on the sensor

i learned these from working in "auto recycling" a.k.a junkyards as well as noticed they were printed in my haltech dealers guide with these as the "master numbers"
