When installing the GM MAFT, is it necessary to run the white wire to the tach signal, or is this just so that you can tune the MAFT according to RPM? I have an SAFC-2 so I will be doing my RPM tuning through that, so if it's not necessary for normal operation to the MAFT, I wouldn't need to hook up the white wire.

If it IS necessary for normal operation, which wire under the hood is it? I already know the instructions for the MAFT say "Power Transistor pin 4", but I have no idea what or where that is.

-Thanks

It's just so you can tune the MAFT via rpm-based tuning. If you have the safc, then you don't need to connect the white wire.
