I have a 91 talon awd, it has 660 injectors a fmi, jdm intake, 3inch maft, big 16g, wal 255 pump rewired with a fpr, 3 inch exhaust turbo back no cat, S-AFC, ross pistons, eagle rods.

I haven't been able to tune my car very well. I have taken it out numerous times with a fellow dsmer and we can't get this thing tuned. I set the injector size on my maft and zero everything else because of the s-afc installed and tune from there. on the high adjustments i'm leaning it out like 30% or more all through the rpm range. i know this can't be right. I just can't figure out what to tune it to. Plus i'm going to install my dynojet wideband o2. should i keep the s-afc or take it out when i install the wideband?

What specific problems are you having? Unable to adjust the fuel trims? Inconsistent results at WOT?

ok i fixed the problem, the guy before me took the brown wire out of the box that has the fixed value for the iat and installed a iat on the intake pipe. now i am wondering where does the purple wire go to that is above te brown wire in the box? right now it's not connected to anything but my car is running a heck of alot better. i just nee to know where that purpe wire goes.

The purple wire is a trigger switch for the AUX setting. That trigger is intended for use with nitrousso it runs an alternate map when you're on the bottle. You don't need to use it.

What's this about the brown wire and IAT? The translator 'locks' the IAT and BARO values to the ecu since the gm maf doesn't have an air temp or barometer sensor intergrated into it. What is your logger reading for IAT's now?

the guy i bought it off of took the brown wire and desoldered it from the maft board then he hooked up a temp sensor to it. he was thinking since it would be fixed he would have to tune it all the time if the temp was different outside. So today i just resoldered the wire back onto the board and now it's all good. He thought he was doing a good thing but he was just thinking too much.
