Do u have ecmlink, or just the maf-t?
Instructions state that for a 3in gm maf both mode switches 1 and 2 should be off... 3.5 gm maf switch 1 on/switch 2 off....
.. ok im pretty sure i know that tic mark then. Wasnt sure if that was it.. so i put that TDC and put the boost tester m on the turbo and put like 10psi in and listen, right? You have to look closely at the crank pulley and there will be a slight notch in between where there belts ride. If it's hard to locate, turn the engine over by hand until the cam shaft marks line up, then look. I usually steal some red nail polish from the wife and put a small dab on the notch. Makes it easier to see when using a timing light to set the timing..

Yes, u need to see it to the 5° mark on the timing cover using a timing light and engine running. Your cas being off like that throws your timing off under all conditions.
