Before I start off here I'd like to say my mods are all up to date.

I've been trying to run my meth controller (snow perf. MAF signal kit) off my GM MAS... but the signal (yellow wire) seems to be way too strong. I have both dials on the controller set to as high voltage as it goes (.5v I believe) ... Idle air is like .4v.

The meth is turning on WAY to earily and I'm running out of ideas as to where to tap into a .0 to +.5v airflow signal. At 2k rpms the controller goes to full on and it bogs like mad. It's ridiculous.

What do those of you running similar set-ups have your signal wire tapped into?

Thx. in advance.

My system uses a boost sensor so I don't have this problem. I would try a adjustable resitor if the guys from Cooling Mist didn't have any ideas.

I've been using my TPS as a source... it works fine while driving, but it likes to bog to hell at lights. ... and stalls here and there.

I'm sure If I was running a smaller nozzle it would work fine like this, but it feels like the ole' GM is gettin moist.

You bought the wrong kit if the controller is looking for a voltage. . . the MAF sensors on our cars output a frequency, not a voltage. Snow offers a kit especially for DSMs, or you could get their GM specific kit if you want to get the signal directly from the MAF.

Yeah, I was suppossed to get the Hz controller, but didn't realize it untill after the fact and everything was installed. :notgood:

A side-note... The TPS does not give a 0-5v signal directly from the source, I had to tap into an ECU connection (same as for an safc.) It gives a 12v+ when 1% or more throttle is applied, which would quench the senser at low speeds. ... now, if my knock warning sound goes off, all I have to do is give it some more throttle and it shuts up :thumb:

So far I'm at 27psi with my evo 3/supra sidemount with zero knock, lots of timing (as much as 23* at WOT) and I'm still turning the boost up PSI by PSI. :D :thumb: :rocks:

E3 16g powered 2.3

Glad you arent in my AutoX region.

27psi on an EvoIII, love it. That has to spool like crazy. I cant believe it still has the top end for that 2.3.

Full boost a bit before 3,000 RPMs :thumb:
