I've been wanting to do this for awhile and basicly had to when I FUBAR'd the upfront mount and needed to get this thing done. I switched to a single wire GM alt. since the Mitsu one's kept dying on me. I modified the pulley to fit ther GM alt shaft and went from there. I cut and shaved the original A/C bracket also. This was my third prototype bracket after I attempted to make it adjustable and that failed. Its a solid mount and I still have to make the tensioner bracket but the hard part is done. Its all .250 T6 plate mostly. I went to the local pick and pull and pulled 5 bent tensioners wilth the same belt/ pulley system and will go from there. More to come.

Yep, 1/4" T6 plate. I made it as rigid as possible. I may brace it in one other location. It has 3 points of contact with the motor and once I get the belt situated I will test it for flex under load. I was just happy I just got it to this point.

I still wouldn't trust it, remember when jay racing came out with their alternator relation kit....the first one didn't last long before cracking. So they revised it.

I would add a gusset from the arm that holds the actual alternator down to the plate area to the right side of it. Doesnt seem like there is much lateral bracing involved in the current design. I like the idea though, keep us posted!

Nice skills, looks very good.
