im putting a 6 bolt in my 95 gsx and its running a PTE 50 trim wich is getting its oil directly from the oil filter housing, I was wondering if this was okay? considering the 6 bolt isnt designed from the factory to have this setup.

my consern is that i will have low oil pressure threwout the engine beause im robbing so much oil from the housing.. anyone know if anything about this ?

You'll be fine....but keep searching im trying to find or remember more likely which brand dosnt hole up long at the oil housing due to too much oil pressure:confused: Maybe someone will chime in

You will be fine I have been using the ofh for years now in all my dsms never had any issues i just use an inline oil restriction beings there is more flow at the housing. currently using the hx35 feed through the filter housing idle oil pressure hot is about 18-23 psi

You'll be fine. I ran no Balance shafts, un-ported pressure relief, helical oil pump gears on a 6-bolt with 15 psi hot at idle and 90 at redline, and a 16G fed from the OFH for a while. No problems. My oil feed is a -3an stainless though.

yeah im running a -3 stainless line as well from the OFH to the turbo. I should be comming across some money soon so i think im gonna invest in a digital oil pressure gauge..

Would the head where turbo oil used to come from be a good spot for the oil pressure sending unit ?

That PTE 50 trim wont last very long. My 6 bolt, fed from the OFH, no restrictor....turbo blew. You might need a restrictor for that setup

well there seems to be some kinda of fitting screwed into the oil filter housing that reduce's size and has a smaller hole then the -3 stainless line which then screws over it. not into but over .
