Okay so ive been reading about feeding the turbo from the oil filter housing. My 14b was setup like that before the rebuild. Now i have a pte gt32 turbo to throw on it. Anyways a lot of people say not to run a new turbo on a motor break in. Isnt the oil coming from the filter housing clean oil? The same oil thats feeding my mains and rods? In that case my mains and rods would be getting damaged also if the turbo was right? Just want to know what everyone else thinks.

This is because it takes a few oil changes for all the assembly lube to be broken down and out of your oil system. That is why it is recommended to change your oil repeated after a rebuild. The assembly lube if left in too long can block oil passages and block the proper lubrication and even wear that is needed.

This is why some people do not use new turbo during break in. Turbo's have a less tolerance if not lubricated properly.
