Well I never had luck with getting the halfshaft stub out of my transmission that was rebuilt 2 years ago and the damn bolts never wanted to come out of the control arm and when I jacked it up the rust gave way and broke the side skirt off!! Besides that the 91 has a rusty bent A-frame where it would appear the ball joint had broke before!! Paying on a 93 gst black and blue just like my 91 with low miles and no rust and very minor body and paint damage!! The engine is supposedly rebuilt 300 miles or so ago and it has a blown turbo...... The same guy I'm buying it off of has a NA 02 or 03 Neon that he turned turbo and blew the turbo on that too! Why would 1 person have such bad luck with turbos? Did he not prime the oil lines when the engine was rebuilt and turbo installed or possibly metal shavings blocked the pin sized hole in the oil feed line!! I'm not sure the oil feed line is supposed to have a pin sized hole but the one I got from Mitsubishi has quite the restriction on the oil feed line!! Maybe I can bring this to their attention and try to get a new turbo / engine or $ if the hole is supposed to be bigger!! Oil restriction to turbo = bad!! Just gonna Use the 91 for parts! The engine is a 6 bolt with good compression and has been red lined like crazy and even driven at redline for 5 plus minutes (when I test drove it I let my buddy drive it and he was going 110 in 3rd for 5 min or so!!)with no negative effects and that was 3 years and 40,000 miles ago! Did a compression check after and she still blow 150-155 across all 4!
