Getting a DSM!

I finally am getting my new car. I drive an Escort and this Friday I'll be rolling around in a 1995 Eclipse GS-T. Anyone got any ideas for my first mods.

Oil/Fluid change
Plugs
Wires
Vacuum lines

In essence...a tune up.

After that, our tuning guide should come in handy.

i got me a 95 gst 6 days ago. Best buy i've ever made. Only problem is 3 days after buying it my power steering belt is getting lose, that and i've got to change the oil this week.

might not be a bad idea to get a new timing belt too, then a BC and gauges and all your other goodies

Hey welcome again to the DSM World...

Maybe right after you buy your car you're not in the best position to dump some money on it, but try to find out about the Timing belt when was it replaced last... and replace it as soon as you're able to, if needed...

other than that, do tune-up first, the basic stuff:
Oil change, Tranny fluid Replacement, Fuel Filter, Air filter, Plugs, Wires, compresion check, Thermostast, Maybe even O2 sensors, and once you know your car is running right and strong start modding it...!

Yeah, get a feel for it first and do any maintenance needed. Drive it around for a week of two to see how she runs and stuff.

Then plan out what you would like your car to run/look like.
