Ok so I am having problems with jacks transmissions. I sent it in 2 weeks ago and they finally got to it and said my center diff had some major damage. They said that it was caused by a different rear gear ratio. I have all the service records and the only thing done to my drivetrain is the transfer case recall done at 1,000 miles. I now have 100,000 miles, you would think that if I had a different ratio it would have went out a long time ago.
I checked the tcase- I marked top dead center. It took 14 turns of the input shaft for the output shaft to line up where it started.
Rear Diff says 3.545 on it- I turned the tires 9 times for the drive shaft mark to line up where it started.
