im planning to change my stock gauge lights on my 95 eclipse to give them a red glow i just want to know if when i pull out the gauges do i have to take out the panels or anything or jus pull it out and just change the bulbs? can someone explain to me its my first time doing this

If you still have the stock gauges, you wont be able to just put new bulbs in to change the color. To change out the bulbs you just take the gauges out and the bulbs twist out of the back..
Buuuut, if you dont want a orange tint to it there is more youll have to do. For whatever reason instead of orange bulbs they put a orange layer of paint on the back of the gauge faces. Sooo, how i did it was took the needles off with a fork, popped the gauge faces out, took sand paper (100 grit) and sanded all the paint off, then took fingernail polish remover and rubbed all the faced down really good to make sure i got it all off, then just put everything back together and popped the lights in the back. I also recommend using LED bulbs.. Ive heard of a few different ways to do this, but thats how i did it and i looove the way mine turned out. Hope this helped!

Bethy21, that looks really good, really like the color too.

I have a 2GB with the silver/white faces. Mine had bulbs with orange condoms on them. I put in white LEDs from superbrightleds.com. I didn't touch the back of the gauge faces so now I have a yellow/Amber tint.

thats how it came out a lil dim in places i need to fix it but i dont know what bulbs to switch[DOUBLEPOST=1415551795][/DOUBLEPOST]im using T5 bulbs is that the right one????
