Ottawa,
I just took apart my gauges today, and I was expecting little LED's Insted there little light bulbs, I took out the spedometer light, rmp, turbo/oil, and gas/temp. I plan to replace the litter lights with blue ones...

Has anyone done this before?
Where can I find the little lights? and
How does it look?
Thanks

-Adam

the orange color is actually on the back of the gauge faces. Changing the lights to blue wont work unless you also sand off the coloring from the gauges (or get aftermarket gauges without the color)

It'd be a lot easier to just buy some gauge overlays. I have these:

and they look terrific. I got them because I wanted my gauges to match my apex-i pillar gauges, but was concerned it would be harder to see and other possible problems, but these gauges are fantastic. Much easier for me to read than the stock orange, and the installation was pretty simple too. Also the price is really low.

You mean something like this

How hard are those overlays to put in??

thsoe LEDs are interesting i've never seen ones like that before, where did you buy those from, and have you done a write up yet, on how to make those needles blue along with the "halo" effect on the speedo gauges?

Seriously, get the reverse indiglows. Its way easier. I put in the blue reverse overlays, and then used those LEDs to change the rest of the dash to blue. ( HVAC/AC/cruise/etc...) And it looks um, dope? It doesnt make much sense to use 50 LEDs behind your tach. Plus like everyone said, there is a yellow tint on the stock gauge faces. You have to sand it, and I totally jacked mine trying to do it.
