GATES timing kit

Ok folks.....have a few posts regarding parts I want to replace as precautions since I dont know the history on service. I have seen previous posts on this particular part but all links have been expired. I am looking for a complete timing kit with a gates racing blue belt. I am looking for all the pulleys, tensioners, water pump etc. to fit and function as the originals would but I want the strong gates blue racing belt at the original belt length. Any ideas where you can purchase a kit like this? Thanks!!

Extremepsi sells that kit. All Oem parts and choice of belt.

As stated above, that would be your best bet. I haven't seen a kit that includes the kevlar belt anywhere else.

You can also get the rest of the timing components through them.

As far as cam sprockets go, you can either go on ebay and see if you can find some there, or a dealer. It might be cheaper to get aftermarket cams over the dealer though.

Makes it much easier to tighten the belt with the engine still in the car.

I would check out your water pump and see if it needs replaced since it's right there. Airtex water pump is about 50 bucks and I have been running mine for 2 years at least.

rockauto.com also has a couple of nice sets, even including mechanical tensioner and/or waterpump. Maybe you can call them and ask if they could make you a custom kit with the blue belt.

There's always a 5-10% coupon somewhere on the internet, just google it.

Modern performance has some good prices too. It's under the 95-99 neon but it states it's for the eclipse too. I plan on getting this when I swap out my head. One of the best prices I could find. I also was not able to find the PCI mechanical tensioner on partsdinosaur.

You can actually go to O'reilly Auto Parts and have them special order it. Or if your lucky them might have it in stock.
