well i installed a 14b and a 190lph fuel pump this weekend on my 99gsx... and my gauge gas had been working fine dropping like it should.... and some reason when i just hit 1/4 tank left my gas light came on:confused: ... do i have 1/4 tank left or do i have the 2.5 gallons left that the idoit light is warning me about:confused:

This happened to me. You have to unscrew the fuel pump assembly under the backseat, wiggle it some and screw it back in carefully. It's just the sender not sitting right.

Good luck.

I think there is a mark on the tank and sending unit you have to line up. I have had the same problem since I installed my 255 years ago. I trust my low gas light before all else.

Staytuned, did you try unscrewing it, wiggling it and screwing it back? It worked for me!

I have almost the same problem. My gas gauge was working fine before, then i took out my gauge cluster and it stopped working completly. And to make it worse my gas light is broken. Ill try wiggleing the pump assembly too.

Well, if it happened after you took the cluster out, i doubt wiggling the fuel pump assembly will fix it.
