What's up everybody, it is now 7 a.m. and I have not slept at all. I spent all night searching for an answer but all the threads with this topic dates back to 2005 and older. It is now 2021 and I'm wondering if anyone has figured out a new way to go about this.
Question: is there a better way to secure this line (gas tank breather line) besides just bending the hose to the passenger wheel well an venting the gas fumes to the atmosphere?
If it were up to me I would of kept the charcoal canister but I realized that when I did the AWD swap the canister was built in the FWD gas tank and therefore I have none.
Anyways
Question #2: can I just put a check valve on the line and route it to the intake? That way when enough pressure is built up it'll open up check valve and the intake would suck up the vapors? (I do wonder if the turbo gets hot enough to ignite the vapors)
I guess what I'm trying to say is, I dont feel comfortable having gas vapors hanging out on my garage floor because I could probably forget and when I'm doing a welding project such as new exhaust etc. i could catch my car and house on fire.
Or have a kid throw a firework under my car on 4th of july and cause a fire while I'm out with the family. Maybe I'm over exaggerating but I'd still like to see what you guys have done about this topic since the early 2000s.

When I deleted my evap system I just put a microfilter on the breather hose and let it vent open atmosphere. A check valve is a good idea too. There may be issues when filling your gas tank though. Even venting open atmosphere I have to let the pump run at no higher than half speed. If you have a free vacuum port it's worth a shot.

I been thinking of teeing the line to the PCV or possibly making my own "small canister" with a line to the existing purge valve and routed back to the intake. But if I can't think of anything I'll probably just do the s as me thing you're doing
