I filled my 2G up to almost full, drove about 40 miles and the gas level hardly moved at all. Today I ran to the bank (about 3/4 mile) away and it says I'm just above half a tank?? How can I fix it?

You might have to open the unit from the top of the tank located under the back seat. The float may be stuck.

I don't recall the numbers, but when full, the sender unit should display a low number for ohms and when empty, it's a high number. Someone correct me if I have that backwards. If you have an awd model, be sure to check both sender units.
