Ok so I threw a rod on my 91 Talon Tsi AWD last week. I was looking to get a JDM motor when I found this on a site http://www.flashoptions.com/product.asp?prodID=174 .

Will the Galant vr4 engine bolt right in to my car? And is this a decent deal? There is also a regular Vr4(not the RS) for cheaper. Is there a difference? I'm waiting on an email back from them to let me know what they want for JUST the engine and not the front clip. What do you guys think?

Yes the VR4 engine will bolt on to your car. Just remember to re-use the intake manifold from your engine as the VR4 engine will come with a cyclone intake manifold that isn't worth the hassle to install. Don't buy a clip as all you need is the engine as $2K is too much money.

JDM engines are hit and miss. Some are like brand new inside and some look like they've been through hell. I would try to inspect the engine first before buying it.

Don't Sell That Cyclone!

Contact Jeff Oberholtzer (Keydiver) at the GalantVR4.org boards or visit his dsmchips.com website. He's managed to rewrite the ECU code to let the Cyclone intake work with a USDM ecu.
