Hello im in the market for either a galant vr4 or an evo 7-9. I will lay out my thought process. I want a ~ 400hp street car, i want good handling around windy roads and a FUN car. Relatively reliable. Im mechanically knowledgable and will do any work required. The galant vr4 seems like a really good deal coming from someone whos never driven an evo or galant. Its basically a 1g dsm on a galant correct?
The evo 7-9 is one of my favorite body styles and is a capable platform.
My concerns are if i spend nearly 2x the price on an evo 7-9, am i going to get 2x the performance. This is also initial cost as i can put another 10k in mods into the galant vr4 for the same price as the evo.
Any guidance from people who know of the platforms would be much appreciated
