Ok...I did a search, but couldnt really find the answer i wanted. My main question is what is the differences between the Galant DOHC 4G64 and the 4G63 stroked to a 2.3 or 2.4? I am wondering primarily because i was curiouse if nearly all 4G63 parts will bolt up to a DOHC 4G64 or is it a whole different field? Also, is there any advantage to a stroker over a DOHC 4G64 or vis-versa? Thankyou in advance for you knowledge.

Thankyou...I did a search, but i searched for "4G64 swap", and it didnt bring up this link that i found useful to answering my question. I found a thread on here that started to answer my question, and there was a link in that thread (the 2nd one im posting) that did a complete walkthrough on building a 4G64 7-bolt. Thought I would post what I found so that other people who do searches will be able to find this thread useful

from what i gathered, the only difference between these motors is that the 4G64 has larger stroke (= 2.4 rather than 2.0).

I do believe that the 4G64 block is 12mm taller, creating an issue with the 2G hood. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

only 6 mm taller...as far as being a problem with the hood...i dont think that should be enough to cause a problem. Thanks though

im gonna use a 2.4 with a 2.0 crank.

but gotta find a mitsu mighty max to get the 2.4 6 bolt.
