Alright guys,
Just timed my G4CS last night. It was late so I didn't even turn it over.
I am using AEM Tru Time gears with the 4g64 OEM belt. Everything else is 6 bolt OEM Timing.
Sooo the previous owner of the cam gears marked them. Looks like half tooth each side.
So what I did is set the cam gears to 0 and hooked up the cam holding tool, set to the new timing marks.
Haven't turned the motor yet, but my method for tensioning, was leave grenade pin in, tighten eccentric bolt until pin moves freely. Correct?
How's it look? (I know oil pump is like half a tooth off but no balance shafts)
Also...does it matter which way the crank gear goes on?? One side seams perfectly flat, I put that side in towards the plate. (Balance shaft gear fat side in, trigger plate matching bevels of first gear, then crank gear flat side in)
