hey everyone getting ready to replace my oil pan because the drain plug is stripped out and it is leaking a good amount of oil. so just wondering if i need to move anything on a fwd or if there is anything that is going to pose a problem during removal/installation.
thanks.

ok do i haft to mess with the down pipe or will the pan clear it while actually pulling the pan out

Pull the downpipe out of the way, i couldnt get my s.s bolts in with my tools so i rem oved the drivers side axle too. Thats about it.

I did i had limited space that all i had stainless steel bolts, allen head i made it a lot easier, no biggie i have had my dsm tore apart many times.

removing the cross member and also moving the downpipe should give you good room. Also don't forget that there are two bolts if i recall correctly that are shorter than the rest of the bolts, those go under the timingbelt side that go screw into the Front Oil Pump Cover.
