hi, first of all, I searched and came up with little help. I need to pull my motor out and get everything disconeccted but the axles....truoble. The pass side (short) axle, is stuck in my tranny!! Prying on the inside only took a small chunk of aluminum out!! I'm goin to pull the motor out tommorow and maybe take the tranny apart?? IDFK, anyways, any opions or help would be appreiated. thanks

I get them out by hammering a pickle fork in there (used to seperate ball joints). If that doesnt work put a small piece of wood as close to the trany as possible and beat on it with a hammer. Then trie the pickle fork again, may take some time but it has never failed me.

I just picked up my first DSM this past weekend. When I drove it I knew going into it that it was going to need a right front axle. Got it home and attempted to replace the axle. The axle cup is stuck in the trans. It's a 91 Eagle TSi AWD. I've been doing some reading and it seems to be a popular problem. Is there a way to fix it that doent include a prybar/screwdriver cause I've already tried that.
