Hey. My goal is for the car to run 11's in the 1/4. I think a 50 Trim is the turbo I want to go with for that. I have read up on a lot of the stuff on this site for almost two years, so don't think I'm completely retarded...Anyways, I wondered about when I get to do fuel upgrades if I'd have to wait for a bunch of other things. Like first I'm doing a K&N, boost gauge, and pod, then a MBC. Next I'll do exhaust. Then I'm kind of confused. I've read the tuning guide, but am confused. I would have to do the injectors and pump and DSMLink (I don't want to use the SAFC) all at the same time? Cause it is going to take me awhile to buy all of this stuff for my car, probably span over a couple years. Then I would do the intercooler and turbo at the same time as well so piping and everything would be only done once? I just want to do all of this once, since the money is coming slowly (in school, only work summers). Is this about right or can I do some of these things independently of each other? I hope this makes sense to you guys as what I'm trying to say. Thanks.

Well it looks like you're on the right track. You can install a fuelpump without anything else. You can do DSMLink without anything else. But for injectors you must have some way to control them. I would say to do the pump and dsmlink first, then injectors because you can tune your car how it is using the dsmlink and it will run better even on the stock injectors.

Yea, I agree with herostar. If you have to break it up, which most of us do, get a fuel pump and an afpr (if you get a big fuel pump you will need one) then get your injectors and tuning. Then get your intercooler or turbo upgrade. Then the other one after that and you will have a mean car that with the 50 trim and good tune you should be able to hit 11's. Good luck.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. The FPR is necessary for what though? I have read a bit about them, but not exactly sure of their purpose...Just keeping constant fuel pressure? Thanks again.

do the fuel system right the first time... just go buy some -6 line a few fittings... and go at it...

if you need any tips PM me :)

What an afpr is for: So you can increase or decrease your fuel pressure to maintain the proper amount of fuel being burnt depending on how big of injectors you are running. Let me know if that helps.

the stock FPR is set good... but the problem is the fuel lines are way to small to keep up with the flow so it just overruns everything..

you cant even drop a pencil in the stock fuel line its so small..

Set your goals into the 12s first, max out the 14B and then upgrade to the 50 trim, don't just set out for 11s and not have the proper supporting mods and be disappointed.

Jason, I like your setup. Maybe you can do a how to on how you ran the SS hoses to your fuel pump and hooked it all up with those nice looking connectors. I've always wondered how some guys run those nice looking pipes for the fuel and what not all around the engine bay. When it comes to making my engine bay look nice I am at a loss. I wanted to do this to my LT-1 as well but didn't know how to or where to get those connectors.
Thanks,
Sherwin
