That was cool, how did they make those Semis go that fast?

The same formula that we use- more fuel + stronger internals = more boost / power. There are no wastegates on trucks so their peak boost level is determined by how much fuel is consumed as well as turbine housing and wheel spec.

Don't forget- these trucks easily make three to four times more torque than horsepower, so an 800hp tractor trailer may make 2400ft/lb of torque....hence the reason the Peterbilt in the near lane lifted the driver's side front tire about 3ft off the ground just before yanking a trailer weighing as much as a house uphill at 45mph from a standing start.
