Maybe you guys can help me with this one. I just put my 4-1 megan on (nice look extra power :D ). When I took off the old mani I noticed some wetness between the big silver thing that has the valves in it and the bottom black thing that has the pistons in it :p . It looks like oil is coming from the joint. Anyone where it might be coming from? It can't be the head gasket because I only have 130k on it. I mean, I just barely put my tach into that redline on the dash (well most of the time  ). I have only missed a couple of speed shifts so that couldn't be it. It seems to have me baffled  Could it have something to do with the way my engine rocks around on the motor mounts?

Ah the joys of building :thumb:

Well, I graduated summa cum la-di-da from college so I have read a LOT of books! Not too sure about headgasket. Hmm, maybe if you guys checked my vehicle profile internals you could help me out. :thumb:

Nothing funny about a oil leak. I feel better that someone on here can explain things better than I can. Just remove thingy and clean the other thingy, install new gasket, and put the thingy back on and call it a day.

yup, everyone just play with their thingys, and amidst all the fun, don't forget the headgasket. boom, here comes the boom, ready or not...how you like me now

well lets see if we can help you out.the first thing you should do is buy the shop/repair manual. before you keep moddin your car you need to understand it.second the thingy that has the valves in it is your cylinder head.it doesn't matter how many miles your car has or how many times youv'e missed a shift.your car can blow the head with 10 miles on the odometer.it's not likely to happen but it can.check were the leak is coming from.check from top to bottom.check the valve cover, cam seals ,blah, blah ;bla.
