full pillar gauge pod for spyder? [Merged 3-8]

Does anyone know where i can buy a 3 Guage Full A-Pillar for a Spyder? Since the Pillars are different then the hardtop eclipses

to my knowledge, they only make the 2 gauge pillar for the spyder. You might try getting a regular 3 gauge and try to make it fit.

Here ya go. Scroll down to the Spyder 3 pod full A pillar. I got one for my '97 Talon. Looks great! Not a bad price, either. They're painted (if you get them to match your grey or tan interior), so be careful not to scratch the paint off installing it. I also had to sand out the pod holes a tiny bit to get the right fit for the 52mm gauge, but it took like 2 minutes of sanding/testing/sanding to get it right.

i have a 2gauge pod pillar on my 1g, but i want to mount the boost gauge somewhere else, like in the a/c vent or with a gauge bezzel dual holder like the one in the ebay link... Anyone have any links for a 1g to mount the boost gauge in the vent or anything? I want to keep one vent, and have the main vent closest to me with the boost gauge.... I searched ebay and they had one with a gauge for the vent but it also had a big square cut out for a safc which i dont have yet and I dont want to use up the entire vent.. Thanks.

I own a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse gs-t Spyder (convertible)

Im looking at installing a 3-gauge pod on the drivers side pillar. I looked at autometer for mounting solutions and their pods dont work for convertibles. I emailed them asking if they had anything for convertibles and they said no itll take to much time and money to make 1. I know its possible to put gauges in a convertible. Ive seen it on other eclipses on the road, and on some mustangs.

My question is, is there a site that sells them for convertibles?
Or what are your suggestions?

I had a universal 3 gauge pod for my old gst .. payed 10 dollers for it off of ebay from shift glow it work like a charm that be my best guess if you cant find perfect fit.

I use a Lotek triple pod for my 1G and it's awesome. Fitment is incredible and maintains a near factory look.

Yes, as long as you have the right size opening for your gauges (as in get the 60mm pod for 60mm gauges, etc).

Agreed.

And as for gauges, I wouldn't suggest Autometer, as they've been known to be unreliable. Just do some parts shopping and find what you like.

I dont wanna spend a ton of money on gauges. Im only 17, only using this car until college.
What kind of gauges would you recommend?

APEXi,hks,defi,blitz... all good. just depends on what you need. and autometers arent unreliable just have some bad storys told about them thats all

I would recommend prosport gauges. I got my electronic Boost and Egt gauge for 155 shiped to my house. And they also look really nice and close to the factory amber color of the stock gauges.

Google "Prosport Gauges." I've just heard Autometer have shown to be inaccurate. The Autometer gauges I work with hopefully are accurate, but I won't know until I get tuned and such.

Guessing you may have meant "coupe", the two cars have different windshield angles. The pillars are not the same.

Yes, you'll just be a half an inch short from the top of the pillar at the top. Tape does miracles.
