full exhaust problem

well I am awaiting my 3" RNR exhaust, and since I already have my downpipe(uninstalled), what should I do about the cat-converter? i think it's only 2.25". my dp is 2.5" and my exhaust is 3", am i going to get a chocking sensations since it's going from 2.5"-2.25"-3". Thanks for any replies!

Go buy yourself one of the universal 3" cats and get one 2.5" and one 3" flange from Road Race Engineering, take it to a local welder and get them put on with 2.5" to 3" pipe adapter and a 3" pipe on the other end. Just make sure that you take some measurements before he welds it all together.
