ok here is my question, since i dond really have the time to look for some parts to do a 1g swap into my 2g, i am able to buy the complete engine, block, head, Intake manifold, coil pack, all pumps and lines i mean the full engine.

so i thing is just easier to drop the complete engine and i need to modify just a couple things like a motor mount and a CAS to have my car running or maybe i am wrong?

just wondering coz while i break or CW my 7 bolt i can put some serious money building the 6 bolt so when it breaks i can just drop the new 6 bolt built engine on my car :D and get back soon to the track

I was in the same boat about 1 year ago. Here's what I did, I just bought a jdm cyclone engine, ditched the the intake manifold and put on a stock usdm 1g one. Modifyed the motor mount, and then wired in the CAS. I found this to be the cheaper than 6bolt bottom and 2g head. I ended with the same compression and a little bit bigger 14b for around 2 G's

You'll need to modify the CAS to hookup to a 2g ECU.
The rear motor mount has to be shaved down a little bit to fit.

Make sure you get a 6 bolt flywheel. Your 7 bolt won't work with the motor.

To save yourself headaches, save up for some type of tuning also (DSMLink/EMS). There is a chance you'll get P0300, multiple cylinder misfire because of the 1g CAS --> 2g ECU. With tuning, you can remove that code manually, and have it compensate.

Overall though, that's all you need.

i am right after all i think thats what i am gonna do buy the engine and build it so at the time i need to do the swap just need to modify the mount and rewire the CAS by the way where did u buy the 1g engine? i am looking for options naganojapanese.com quoted me a full 1g engine for 1800 bucks i called them but where not able to tell me if it was 6 or 7 bolt 1g engine, i don´t want to get the wrong 1g motor

thanks

i have a 6 bolt going into my 93 talon. do i also need to modify the CAS and motor mount or is it just on the 2nd gens?

I got my engine through my friend brother, who ever he delt with. I looked at the web site and that looks like the right one. You are gonig to need to get dsmlink or ems though because of the random missfire. You can drive it , if you don't want to spend the money it is quite annoying. I you have any questions let me know. Magnus Motorsports has a good write up on a 6 bolt swap.

i am gonna get the misfire even rewiring the CAS and swaping the plugs?

i got the magnus write up seem very straight forward to do

here comes another question don´t know if someone have tried this before, if a get a 6 bolt 1g eclipse (full working car)can i put my 7 bolt from my 2g(after taking this away to do the 6 bolt swap) into the 1g car so y have a 1g 7 bolt for daily driving and the 2g 6 bolt to make my project?

The thing is if you don't get Ems or Dsmlink right away you will have to re-pin your ecu to invert your CAS. That you can find out how to do on Road Race Enginnering Website. It sounds intimidating but it is quite easy.

Only have to re-pin the ecu if you don't have Dsmlink or EMS. You do have to swap your plug wires. That what I did before I got Dsmlink and my car ran perfect, except for the random misfire when crusing. Now that I got dsmlink I didn't have to go in and change in Dsmlink to invert CAS.

So what your saying is you have to re-pin on only the 95-96 models, and you have to swap plug wires on all 2g models?

I think magnus and RRE actually sells a wiring harness so its easier to do or am i wrong?

95-96 swap plug wires and 2gs you have to repin the ecu to invert CAS. I have a 95 so I had to both when I didn't have dsmlink.

Yes, on 95-96 cars only repin the ecu. Which he has a 95 yes you need to do that. Follow the whole magnus guide and you'll be good. Sorry for the confusion.
