I'm putting my AFPR together and my gauge and vacuum line only go into the regulator about 2 threads and then get tight, (by hand).. So do I gently screw them in tighter with a wrench till it sits flush to the regulator?

that should be a tapered thread, screw it in by hand as far as you can then *gently* tighten it up with a wrench. Using a little teflon tape wouldn't hurt either just for safe measure.

I didn't screw the vac nipple or the gauge in flush. Just hand tightened then slightly with a wrench with some added teflon on the threads for added measure. I installed mine on Monday. However, the gauge that came with the Fuelab FPR leaked the fluid out the side of the gauge where the rubber plug thingy is:ohdamn:. Now I have no fluid in the gauge and a hole where the plug is but it seems to be holding pressure fine... Maybe I should replace this

The glycerin that they put in the gauges is just to make the needle not bounce from the injector pulses. It will probably be more accurate without that stuff in there.

So how many more threads should I do? like I said it only goes in 2 threads out of maybe 7

I dont think it would be more accurate with it NOT in there. I'd rather watch a steady gauge than a bouncy one

Temperature changes how the liquid-filled gauges read. Real mechanics of yore would read vacuum with a REAL gauge that bounces because of the pulses of vaccum. You just go by the mid-point of the bounce. Fuel gauges don't bounce much, like vacuum gauges do.
