ok ive been told by a local dsm shop that 16 psi is the highest you can go on pump gas ? i ran 22 psi on pump

and they said 24psi is the most on e85 . WTF since wheen was this true

im asking because im gonna run 30psi so what should i do

whoever told you XX amount of boost is the "limit" on pump is a retard. Every car is different. Your max pump gas boost is based on your engine setup, tune, etc. Not just some random number they throw out there. What turbo are you planning on running 30 psi on?

ok LOL , i thought he was crazy . he told me that after i asked him to maybe tune my car which he said 79$ up a hour and would take 4 hours for a base tune ? me and my friend are gonna tune it now . i just looked at the cars he tuned and it all looks perfect.

thanks for the help so pump or e85 which should i run

E85 is better for knock control, especially if you plan on running 30psi on a relatively stock setup. Just remember when using E85 you need roughly 30% more fuel than petroleum gas. Keep that in mind when planning a fuel system if your going to run E85

So, did you buy your car with all the work done to it, or build it yourself? If you built it yourself, I'm surprised you are asking these questions, cause that's a lot of car to not know how to tune. No offense, but it's just a little surprising.

You've got plenty of injector for e85, but what pump do you have? I don't see one in your profile. I also don't see an afpr. If you are on the stock pump/fpr, then the shop was right to tell you not to boost over 16psi on pump gas, especially on that turbo. You have to be way lean on that turbo with no pump upgrade over 16psi.

If you do have a high flow pump and an afpr, then run the tank as dry as you can, fill up with e85, add 30% more fuel as a starting point in DSMLink, and start logging, especially with an eye towards the afr's. Shoot for no leaner than 12.0:1 and then start adding timing until you see some knock...most people are running 20-22* at peak at WOT. Of course, if you have no idea how to tune, then find someone to help so you don't blow your car up.

There are plenty of threads here about e85 tuning, and tuning in general. Look around and you'll get plenty of info.

I hope I didn't offend, just from your first post you gave the impression that you were unable to tune it.

Go for the e85, and have some fun! You will be blown away with how much stronger the car is on the stuff. Good luck!
