hey guys i'm thinking about purchasing a walbro 255. my ambitions are somewhere around 350whp i hope to have the ported evoiii turbo a new fmic, hks 272's and some other things but when it comes to fuel im kinda clueless. im wondering whether i could get away with just rewiring my fuel pump to save money. would i need a fuel pressure regulator? if so what kind? and im wondering if i will need to injectors with this future setup hopefully running around 19 to 20 lbs of boost. PLEASE HELP I GOT MONEY TO BLOW AND I HAVE AN URGE!
 
for starters SEARCH. Hell look at other posts in this forum, it's been adressed a few times already.
The 255L will outflow the stock FPR so you will definately need a new one. You will also need injectors, 550 will suffice.
 
well i knew i would go with the 550's later on. im wondering if the rewired fuel pump would suffice for my setup. and what kind of fpr i woul dneed. i need specifics because i have searched, but i haven't found ne specifics.

What exactly IS your set up. All you're talking about is things that you want to buy and put in your car. So I can't really say if a rewired fuelpump would suffice for your setup.

Aeromotive seems to be a popular AFPR.
 
Sorry but if you say you have searched and haven't found any specifics you are either lying, lazy, or just plain old blind... I have answered 3 of this same question today!!!!!...Forget the Search, just scroll down in this General Forum section and click on all the threads dealing with fuel upgrades. There you will get everything you need for your question...


-OK sorry...I guess I will be a little helpful..but honestly I should've just copied and pasted my answers from the 3 other threads I have replied to with this question...

-with a 550cc setup a 190lph fuel pump will be fine..If you want you can do the re-wire on that one...otherwise, if you go with a 255lph you WILL need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator...With a re-wired 190 and 550cc injectors + a good tune with possibly an AFC, you should be able to run 19-20 lbs of boost...
 
that's probably all I'm going to be doing. I'm going to stick with my 16g for a while so I'll probably just get 550's a 190L and SAFC. Save myself the trouble of getting an AFPR
