I'll be getting my shortblock assembled and around soon. Now I need to get the rest of the engine together. I have a few questions about the fuel system I will need for my goals. My shortblock consists of 6 bolt pistons w/ arp rod bolts, npr oem pistons (.020 oversized), stock crank polished mains and rods cut .020 (properly done :thumb:)... The car will be daily driven and tracked/beat on the weekends. I will have either a 14b or 16g (whatever I can come by at the time, not set on one specific). I am thinking once things are settled in I will be around 16 lbs of boost?. What fuel system will I need for my goals? I was thinking 550cc injectors, fpr, and maybe an upgraded pump. Tuning software? I don't really want to fork over the 500-600 dollars for dsm link right now, unless it's necessary. But if not I plan on getting that before any major boost.

Give me some input on what I'll need/combination to go with. Sorry if I sound like a noob, never really learned about the fuel system.

16g, Evo 560s, you got a 95 so check your ECU to see if its Eprom or not. If so, I would definitely go with link. Check the ECMlink website to figure out how to check your ECU.

If I put bigger injectors in, do I have to have tuning software?

on a 16g? not much.

you should really look into evo 8 injectors in the classifieds and go with dsmlink lite.

I'm thinking just to get my car running and driving as soon as possible I'm going to keep it at stock boost levels, if not lower. That way I will not have to mess with any of the fuel system, or tuning software.... yet. But This is helping me decide what I will want to eventually do.

if you decide to do the 16g, there is a member on here "banshee04" who is currently selling a evo316g for $325 shipped.

If I was you, I would be all over that

Just pm'ed him ;)

Ecmlink lite is a good option for around $300 if you already have an eprom ecu, and if not then switching to an evo8 ecu or H8 ecu and the correct cable to go with it would be a similar price but without the need to procure an eprom ecu (assuming you don't have one in the car). If you do have one you could always sell it for around $200 and get into another tuning system using that money plus around $100-$150 above that.

I thought all 95 turbo ecu's were eprom? I guess I haven't looked at mine ever.
