So I am in the process of rebuilding my 95 GST. And I am trying to get some advice.

First a little background on my build, Pretty much a stock 7 bolt rebuild, but i used Evo 8 pistons and rods as my engine had a bent rod from hydrolocking. Head is gonna be pretty much stock, with the possibility of a set of cams. I also have a Greddy 18g turbo that i will be running.

I ordered DSM link set up for my Evo560's, and I was gonna run a AFPR and a walbro 255 pump. However....I started looking at my head and its not so good.

So, my question is...Can I run the evo 560's, with my stock pump, and stock fpr for break in only on the engine. That way I can free up some money to get a new head.

I still plan on upgrading the fuel system. Just need to get the head taken care of first.

Any help would be great. I have been trying to search but must not be doing something right.

Thanks.

The dsmlink will compensate for the bigger injectors. Your stock fpr will do for now since your still on a stock fuel pump.

Yes you can tune them with link. Also, I don't recommend using a 255 because they are noisy and heat up the fuel quite a bit due to the shitty turbine design. Get an aeromotive 340 or walbro 400.

The new designs are actually much quieter, I can barely hear mine.

OP- Yes, you can use the stock pump and 560's for break-in at stock boost. Just make sure the knock CEL is enabled and set to about 1-2* in Link. However, the stock pump will not support more than that. I'd get at least a 190 and rewire it.

Because the aeromotive definitely has a track record for being a reliable pump.

Same thing I was thinking. I have a dual hanger 255hp's and ive never had a problem with them pushing some big power. As for noise. Any aftermarket big fuel pumps gonna be a little louder.

OP- Rewire your stock pump, directions can be found here:

Rewire Fuel Pump

This will help stop the fp from dropping voltage at WOT. Plus, its cheap and will allow you to save money to get a head.

Im running twin Bosch 044s with an intank 255. This sucks when you dont have a radio in your car.
