Fuel smell out the exhaust. Need help with running rich

Hey guys I think I am having a problem of running rich and getting rich knock. When I had my motor out I removed all the emmisions except the pvc. I am still on the stock fuel system with a 1g unhacked mass and a rewired 255 HP pump with the stock regualtor and 450s . I can smell fuel out the exhaust my exhaust tip is black but I have no black smoke . The engine runs fine no missing or backfireing but spool up is a little slow. My plugs look like new as well. I am not running a cat but still think the smell is alittle exessive. I have a new 02 sensor I put in with the motor and acording to the logger its doing its job and have .90v on a WOT pull and cycles nomally at Idle. I have a small boost leak at the BOV but it doesnt start leaking untl about 13 psi but I am only at 10 psi now.
My EGT gauge is not working so I cant rely on that I just have the logger to look at.
I was thinking of a AFPR to see if that could be the problem knowing I am over running the stocker. Thanks for your replys

I will put money on it that AFPR would take care of your problem. Now the reason its not running really rich is because you have way to much pressure for the stock regulator and its just making a circle and cycling back into the tank. With a high pressure pump like that you should definatly get a AFPR so you are not putting a lot of pressure on the stock injectors where as in time they might start to blow open.

A lot of people have gotten away with running HP pumps without FPR's but I definatly would not suggest it. There is a big difference in getting away with it and doing somthing correct the first time. Just my $.02, take it as you wish. Hope it helped.

Part of the problem is that removed your emissions, especially your cat. I don't have a 255 (yet), I am just running stock pump and stock injectors with my Apex'i exhaust (no cat), and when I am not moving I can smell gas.
