Hello,

I'm experiencing an issue in a '96 spyder GS where after I drive the car for a bit and I step out, a smell of gas is present near the gas cap. I haven't noticed any puddles under the car so I'm not sure what is happening. The gas smell also happens for a while when I turn the AC on full blast. What can be causing this???

Its most likely the metal pipe on the filler neck, as fuel has Ethanol in it rusts steel from the inside out! So its likely to be that,

Or possible fpr leaking, injector seals, fuel filter etc. Can you see any wet/fresh fuel anywhere?
I had this one happen to me,leaking fic injector seals, finding the source of the fuel smell drove me crazy even changed the rubber gaskets that seal the fuel pump and the return side of the tank. Still had issue. Upon further investigation yes it was a leaking Injector seal. So check those especially.
