K, I went through all the threads but could not find the answer. I am doing an 8 injector setup bc I want to run E85, I got some PTE 550's for secondaries, just wondering if a 2g turbo rail is spaced the same as a NT, meaning if the fuel rails are interchangeable, I know that the turbo as low impedence injectors and NT high impedence. Or is it possible to fit low impedence injectors into a stock 420a fuel rail? If someone can point me to how to build your own rail would help aswell, thanks!

They sell fuel rail stock, which is basically just extruded aluminum with a cross-sectional shape similar to a fuel rail. You cut it to the appropriate length, drill holes where necessary. Just be damn sure the holes are in the right spots before you start drilling. The ends can either be tapped or welded for the correct fitting.

You'll also need to weld, or otherwise attach a bracket.

Fuel Rail Stock

I believe the 4G63 fuel rail will actually fit our intake manifolds. I know there was someone else on the 420A forums once who wanted to use the 4G63 1:1 FPR, so he used the fuel rail too.

The fuel injectors between the two should be interchangeable as well, but like you said, you'll need a resistor pack.

Thanks for the link, might just have to try that out! Yeah I am switching over to Megasquirt so the resistor pack would be unnessary. Just waiting for Rs-autosport to finish up with their new version (MS-1 Exstra for 420a). My head is pulled right now so I figured I can do that while it's out even if I will not be using it right away.

You bought too early! MS2 is almost finished for the 420A. A few people have tested it with relatively good results, they're just finishing working out all the bugs.

Do you know by any chance how long the NT fuel rail is?

I have no clue, but I imagine 12" should be enough.

As for the MS, look around on msextra.com; you'll see their progress.

I can make you an MS unit setup for MSII that runs on MSI until they fix all the bugs.

No the rails are not interchangeable

due in part to the style of O-ring on the back side of the injector, That the import style fuel injestors use.

Our inj's are a Bosh style or Domestic stlye.

it will probley work if you use a 4g rail and inj BUT you will need to run a resitor pack

Hahn and OBX both make fuel rails for the 420a

The guy I'm thinking of must have used 4G63 injectors then.

Well I pissed bc someone just bought the injectors from out under me on Ebay the last minute!!!But I will get that fuel rail stock and just make my own should work, I hope anyways. Velocita what are you running for control? MS?

OK So I'm browsing Ebay for injectors and saw they come in side feed aswell?? Should I stay away from them, or since I am going custom can I just get what I can find cheap?

I will have an 8 injector setup aswell but I have the Hahns portfueler, at idle it uses the 4 stock injectors and at WOT it uses the stockers and the 48lb injectors. I like the setup and it comes pre fabbed. That is just me tho, good luck with it.

I already replaced my stockers for 550's yeah I would love the adapter plate from the portfueler but for $300 I can do alot of other things. It is a nice setup thou!

You are not running MS either. If he is going to run MS, then portfueler would equal huge waist of money.
