Just made this video in hopes that someone may have suggestions on potential fixes. This is on a friends car that we're putting together. Below is a url and also the mentioned owner will be posting the video also.

After seeing this you should pretty much get the just of what I'm referencing to. But for clarification, 2 of the threads someone attempted to repair which you can see in the video. The center one has been re-tapped off center and to deep. Deep enough in which it is into the oil galley that circulates through the head. The mounting point closest to the cam gears is un-tapped so it seems.

Recommendations?

Thanks in advance

That was pretty much our initial plan.

I personally threw out the idea of having someone weld the holes then re tap them using the fuel rail spacers as guides. But it was kinda discarded and may end up left up to the machinist.

I appreciate the response, may give the original thought a shot before taking it back to the machine shop.

What about drilling/tapping the hole and put a stud in there instead of a bolt? At least for the middle hole since it goes in to the oil galley.

That could work too.. but it would have to be a "Step stud"

10mm bottom with a 8mm top (a 3/8 with a 5/16 would work too)
