Is this over kill? I just want to have 300whp on a T-28

Yes, for just 300hp you dont need all that..

Simple
*Walbro 190lph (rewired)
*650cc Injectors (probably can get away with Evo 560cc)
*SAFC

Go walbro 255, Get some 750cc's DSMlink and you will be good to go.

That FIC kit doesn't show what size those injectors are. Just remember that anything over 190 lph fuel pump will need an AFPR (adjustable fuel pressure regulator).

You can go with the above setup ^^ but that would be an overkill unless your planning to go past 300hp..

Most DSMs arent making enough power to have to upgrade to -6an fuel lines.. Hell i know 2 people local making just a bit over 500awhp on stock fuel lines (other than AFPR) and still have a good amount of IDC %

DSMlink is a great tuning tool but if your goals arent that high you can just get an SAFC or MAFT, both have been proven to go very very far

Your right! sorta, It's harder to control the bigger injectors and its reccomended not to use SAFC for anything bigger than 650

But Link is everything in one. Data logger better tuning tool that a SAFC could ever think it could be.

You heard wrong...

Try doing a 5 sec search about SAFCs and 650cc injectors

I 1st tuned my car with PTE 680cc and SAFC and ran just fine on my 50trim 24psi

on pump gas, i wouldnt recommend anything above 680cc unless you speak of the corn fuel...




I guess the real question is... are you ona budget or willing to spend some extra cash???

For your t28 plan, a set of 650's as mentioned above will be more than enough as well as the 190. Get an safc2 if possible, has more tuning points.

DSM_PWR is correct with his list if all you're going to do is 300WHP (be honest with yourself).

However, if you have the slightest idea that it will not be enough (and most do), go with DSMLink and a set of 850s minimum, 255HP (re-wired) and an AFPR, stock lines are fine.

That way you aren't spending money and doing the work twice.

On a side, he is also correct about a SAFC...it will do 650s-680s fine, it's when you start entering into the realm of 750s+ that the airflow "cheats" that it creates really whacks the timing side.

DSMLink will allow for fuel and timing adjustments plus a slew of other options plus a logger that is extremely useful even at 300WHP. Plus it's stupid easy to use.

Id also like to ad that an SAFC may also handle injectors like 750cc if your using e85...

Ive tuned a few cars here local and had very good results. Since e85 gas requires 30% more fuel consumption, you wont have to lower (-) the base settings on an safc as much like you would normally with pump gas...

Thus, you wont have the "agressive timing" curve that limits the SAFC
